Installation & Maintenance
The GiraGlob ® is delivered in a protective cover and moved with a Hiab truck crane. For permanent installation, it is bolted onto a pre-prepared concrete pad, designed and engineered to the site’s condition. For retrofitted and deployable installations, the GiraGlob is delivered on a galvanised steel footplate for bolting onto hard surfaces or staking directly into soft ground with heavy-duty steel stakes.
The GiraGlob is robust & engineered to cyclone conditions. For extra safety, its turning mechanism is designed to turn slowly without gaining momentum & speed. The GiraGlob is CPTED compliant (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design). However, if placed in perceived high risk areas, portholes may be cut & Perspex windows fitted. Additionally, GiraGlobs may be fitted with solar panels & LED lighting or alternatively electrical internal lights. A custom-made heavy-duty lockable night sheet is available to close the opening of the GiraGlob Shell.
The GiraGlob is water-blast-able and treated as per any public space-cleaning regime. Any wilful damage to the GiraGlob’s surface is restored by heating & buffing, unwanted Graffiti is removed by professional Graffiti cleaners.
